our story
CONSERVATORY DANCE 1993 // LOVELAND DANCE 1998
Our Story Rooted in History
Built for What’s Next
For more than 30 years, dance has been at the heart of what we do. Our story began in 1993, when Linda McSwain and Jeffrey Marc Rockland founded The Conservatory Dance Studio in Greeley. Five years later, Linda and Jenni Burns Leinweber opened Loveland Dance Academy in Downtown Loveland. What began as two small studios grew into generations of dancers, teachers, families, friendships, and opportunities. Katie McSwain was one of The Conservatory’s first dancers before eventually joining Linda and Jenni as a co-owner.
In 2012, the two separate businesses merged into Dance Dream 3 Studios, LLC, creating one organization while continuing to operate under the Loveland Dance Academy and Conservatory Dance Studio names. Together, we have helped dancers pursue prestigious university programs, professional careers, and careers of their own as teachers and choreographers.
But our greatest measure of success has never been where our dancers go next. It is who they become along the way. We believe dance is a vehicle for growing confident, compassionate, and resilient people. We believe in high standards, meaningful relationships, and continually evolving what dance education can be.
Now, we are taking our biggest step yet. In January 2027, our two studio communities will come together under one roof in a new home at Loveland Yards. We aren't leaving our history behind. We are building on it. A place where dancers can dream bigger. Where teachers can grow. Where families can belong. Where new ideas have room to take shape. More Than Dance. More Than a Studio. A community built for what’s next.
The Loveland Studio Story
Loveland Dance Academy
The Loveland Dance Academy was established in 1998 by Artistic Director, Jenni Burns (Leinweber) and Financial Advisor, Linda McSwain. The Loveland studio began on July 1, 1998 in Historic Downtown Loveland, located at 126 W. 4th Street (the corner of 4th Street & Garfield).
In 2002, Katie McSwain joined the team and became an co-owner along with Linda and Jenni. In 2009, Lynda Davis was hired as a financial advisor for the Loveland studio (today she serves as the CFO). After 15 years at the location on 4th Street, the three partners made plans to move to a bigger facility. In 2013, a downtown building was purchased and complete renovation occurred to make room for a larger, high quality dance studio space.
Stronger Together
Loveland & Conservatory Dance
After operating for many years as separate businesses, the Greeley and Loveland studio merged into one business in 2012. Combining the talents and versatility of the teaching faculty and administration, more opportunities opened up for dance families to attend classes and perform for both studio locations.
Since opening, the studios have nurtured many fine artists who have been accepted to prestigious programs such as The EDGE Scholarship Program (Hollywood, CA) Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive, esteemed university dance programs and professional dance companies. Others have gone on to work for Disney, Las Vegas shows, cruise lines, professional sports teams, and various modeling agencies, in addition to becoming teachers and choreographers of their own.
Over the years, the studios have produced an annual Spring Showcase, ongoing full-length ballet production of The Nutcracker, a series of holiday shows, summer productions, breast cancer benefits and an elite competitive dance team. The strength of the two studios working together has created a flexible and favorable dance experience for enrolled students.
The three women business owners have been journeying together for three decades.
We Keep Going
In 2020, when we couldn't put our dancers on a stage, we built a stage another way.
A giant green screen. GoPros in our studios. Three camera angles. And a Spring Showcase our dance families watched together from their living rooms.
These photos are outtakes from the three of us trying—and repeatedly failing—to record the introduction.
We laughed until we cried.
And somehow, they capture something about us that a polished photograph never could.
We've been through hard things together. We've adapted. We've rebuilt. We've kept dancing. And we've always found reasons to laugh along the way.
For more than 30 years, this studio has weathered change, uncertainty and challenges we never could have anticipated. Each time, we've emerged stronger, clearer about who we are, and even more committed to the community we've built.
We've proven we know how to keep going.
Now, we get to fly.

FUN FACT: All three owners have a daughter and a son; all of whom have danced at their studio.
